In a distant future, two exceptional young military commanders distinguish themselves from their contemporaries. The prodigy Reinhard von Lohengramm, whose brilliance is unmatched, meets his equal in the peerless strategist Yang Wen-li. Despite their mutual respect, they clash as leaders of massive fleets of warships and millions of soldiers, fighting for two interstellar empires that have been locked in conflict for over 150 years. The Galactic Empire, an absolute monarchy under Kaiser Friedrich von Goldenbaum IV and a rigid aristocracy, seeks to crush all rebellion against its rule. In contrast, the Free Planets Alliance, a democratic state governed by a corrupt High Council, is in decline as its leaders exploit war and internal strife to maintain their popularity. Reinhard, a minor noble, rises to the rank of High Admiral through his tactical brilliance and the influence of his sister, who is the Kaiser's favored concubine. Yang, a history enthusiast and reluctant commodore, is hailed as a hero for his strategic skills, which he uses to counter the incompetence of his superiors. Though on opposite sides of the galaxy, the two men hold opposing visions: Reinhard seeks to unite humanity under his strict leadership, while Yang aims to pave the way for lasting peace. As the conflict intensifies, Reinhard and Yang each strive to achieve their goals, solidifying their legacies as the pioneers of a new era of galactic heroes.
