Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch

Geass is a mysterious power given to a select few, taking form based on their deepest desires and granting them immense influence. The story unfolds in Area 11, once known as Japan, and follows Lelouch Lamperouge, a sharp-witted 17-year-old student. He receives his Geass from the enigmatic C.C., an ability that forces anyone he looks at to obey him without question. Adopting the identity of Zero, a masked revolutionary fighting for liberation, Lelouch sets out to bring down the Holy Britannian Empire, the world's only superpower, and exact revenge for the suffering he and his family have endured.
