Kubersly
Summary
Kubersly, also known by the alternate spelling Cubersly, served as an Alliance admiral and chief of the joint operations headquarters. Prior to his promotion, he led the 1st Fleet with efficiency and integrity, successfully defending Alliance territory and suppressing piracy. Just before the National Salvation Military Council’s coup d'état in 797 UC, he was critically wounded in a murder attempt by Andrew Falk, though he survived. Despite undergoing multiple surgeries, Kubersly never fully recovered and was compelled to retire in 798 UC, with Admiral Dawson taking his place. Because Kubersly was a strong, popular, and competent leader while Dawson was weak-willed and overly pliable, the admiral’s departure allowed the corrupt government to tighten its grip on the military, further isolating honest officers like Alexander Bewcock and Yang Wen-li.
