Synopsis
Continues the story of Saiyuki
In the distant past, humans and demons coexisted peacefully. However, that harmony was shattered when demons began attacking humans and conspired to free Gyumao, a malevolent demon who had been sealed away for millennia. In the present day, Genjo Sanzo, a renegade priest, must join forces with three demons—Sha Gojyo, Son Goku, and Cho Hakkai—and undertake a dangerous westward journey to prevent these demons from reviving Gyumao and to reestablish equilibrium between humans and demons on Earth.
In this installment
In their continued journey westward, the Sanzo Ikkou—consisting of the priest Genjo Sanzo and his companions Cho Hakkai, Sha Gojyo, and Son Goku—works to prevent the revival of the mighty demon Gyoumao. As their reputation, whether notorious or celebrated, precedes them, the group endures constant assaults from demon killers. At the same time, internal discord risks weakening their bond as they face a powerful enemy.
