Synopsis

In 2199, the Gamilon race launches an attack on Earth, seeking to conquer the planet. Despite the efforts of Earth's defenders, the superior alien technology overwhelms them, leaving Earth a barren, irradiated wasteland. The remaining humans retreat to underground shelters, but these are also failing, and humanity has less than a year before extinction. Amid growing despair, Queen Starsha of Iscandar offers assistance. The solution lies in the Cosmo-Cleaner D, a device capable of cleansing Earth's radiation. To obtain this vital equipment, a journey of 148,000 light-years to Iscandar must be completed before the deadline runs out. Humanity's hope now rests on the crew of the Space Battleship Yamato, a refurbished World War II-era vessel.
