Summary

Saburou Katou is a 23-year-old native of Hokkaido who serves as a Lieutenant Junior Grade, also known as a Second-grade Space Lieutenant. He leads the Black Tiger combat fighter squadron and acts as the top ace for the UN air and space wing, piloting the Type-99 Space Strike Fighter. As the leader of Yamato's flight group, he possesses the demeanor of an older brother and looks after his subordinates with great care. His appearance is marked by a distinctive scar on his left eyebrow.
