Summary

Born on September 21, 2181, though her birth date is listed as December 24, 2180, in the Yamato 2199 continuity, Mori Yuki begins her service aboard the Yamato as Dr. Sado’s nurse. Her duties quickly expand to include operating the radar, performing computer calculations, maintaining crew morale, and searching planets for food sources. Although she is immediately attracted to Susumu Kodai, she hides her true feelings behind a facade of girlish glee. As the only significant female crew member, she is frequently subjected to fan service. In the remake, her role shifts entirely to radar operator, a position taken by Makoto Harada in the original, resulting in a more straightforward personality compared to her classic counterpart. Her name, meaning forest snow, is derived from the name of a fan of Matsumoto, Miyuki Moriki.
