Summary
Mamoru Kodai is a 28-year-old officer serving with the Combined Space Fleet of the UN Cosmo Navy. Born in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, he is the older brother of Susumu Kodai. Following the death of both parents in meteor bomb attacks, Mamoru views his younger brother as his only remaining family. After graduating from Space Defense College, the increasingly desperate state of the war and the rapid loss of experienced personnel led to Mamoru being given command of a destroyer at a young age.
