Synopsis
The legendary Holy Grail, rumored to fulfill any wish, has already sparked three catastrophic wars. Undeterred by these disasters, the affluent Einzbern family remains certain that the Fourth Holy Grail War will produce a winner, particularly now that they have secured a proper vessel for the artifact. To guarantee this result, they enlist the infamous "Magus Killer," Kiritsugu Emiya, formalizing their pact through his marriage to their sole daughter, Irisviel. Kiritsugu joins the lethal competition with seven other contenders, each bonded to an ancient Servant and propelled by unique motivations. His most dangerous adversary is Kirei Kotomine, a priest intent on finding redemption by destroying Kiritsugu. Adapted from Gen Urobuchi's light novel, Fate/Zero recounts the Fourth Holy Grail War, taking place ten years prior to Fate/stay night. The narrative depicts a merciless struggle where no one's survival is assured.
