After the Sakura Card Arc ends, life returns to its normal rhythm. The secrets are solved, evil forces are defeated, and the challenges of power are finished. Still, Sakura feels a quiet sadness. As she says goodbye to parts of her past, she works hard to hold onto her friendships and the connection with the person she loves.

After capturing all the Clow Cards and transforming them into Sakura Cards, Sakura Kinomoto begins her first year at Tomoeda Middle School. After her initial day of classes, she meets up with Shaoran Li, who reveals he will be staying in Tomoeda permanently. Excitingly, Shaoran will be attending the same school as Sakura, making her life seem perfect. But one night, while sleeping, Sakura has a vivid dream about a cloaked figure and finds herself amidst a collection of see-through cards. Upon waking, she discovers her dream isn't just a dream—the Sakura Cards have indeed turned transparent. As she continues to encounter the unknown foe in these surreal experiences and obtains a new magical key, Sakura prepares for her latest adventure in Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card.
