Summary
Yue serves as one of the two Guardians of the Clow Cards within Clamp’s anime and manga series Cardcaptor Sakura. He is voiced by Megumi Ogata in the original Japanese version, with Sam Vincent providing his voice in English and Steve Staley taking over for the second movie. As the judge of the Clow Cards, Yue is responsible for testing candidates to determine if they are worthy of becoming the next Master. Despite appearing as a beautiful young man with long silver braided hair, violet cat-like eyes, and angelic wings that allow him to fly, he is actually over three hundred years old. Yue holds jurisdiction over wind and water, the elemental forces that derive their existence from him. He is a formidable fighter capable of raising powerful magical barriers, launching deadly crystal shards, and summoning an energy bow to fire arrows. Additionally, he can generate energy around his hands that cuts like a blade and utilizes telekinesis among other magical attacks. Though he acts cold, aloof, serious, and intimidating, his first appearance occurs when Sakura, the Cardcaptor, captures the final Clow Card, The Earthy.
