With so many animals in his care, Nobita and his friends decide to send them 300 million years back in time, to an era with no other living creatures. After using the Ray of Evolution to enable the animals to work a food-making machine, they set off, promising to return to the present. The next day from their perspective, however, when they go to visit the animals, a time-space anomaly causes them to crash-land 1,000 years before their intended destination. To their surprise, the dogs and cats have evolved enough to build a civilization comparable to that of the Future Society. With the time machine broken, they search for someone who can repair it so they can resume their journey through time, but they soon learn of a far greater problem: a cluster of asteroids is on course to collide with Earth. Will Nobita finally keep his promise and reunite with Ichi? And what about Hachi, a dog who bears a striking resemblance to Ichi? The 300-million-year spacetime adventure begins.
