Synopsis
Alice has a deep and unwavering belief in magic, convinced it can be used for kindness and playful adventures. However, she is suddenly transported to a different world governed by a mysterious group of elite witches. In this realm, the witches are not interested in fun—they are busy capturing sprites, the natural magical creatures of the world, and forcing them into servitude. Once Alice understands that her new surroundings are not just a fantasy, she decides to take action and change the situation.
Background
The series aired on NHK Educational TV from April 9, 2004, to March 4, 2005, with a 6-episode OVA spin-off titled Tweeny Witches: The Adventures released on November 22, 2007. In North America, Media Blasters released the series and OVA in 2008 and 2009 respectively, both dubbed and subbed.
