The Gokusen

Synopsis

In "The Gokusen," Kumiko Yamaguchi, a bright and enthusiastic newcomer, begins her career as a math teacher at Shirokin Academy, an all-boys school notorious for its unruly student body. On her first day, she quickly discovers that the school is filled with extremely difficult delinquents who resist authority. However, unknown to her students, Kumiko is also the acting head of a major yakuza syndicate, possessing formidable fighting skills capable of subduing even the toughest criminals. To maintain her cover as a teacher, she must conceal her true identity and immense strength from everyone around her. Complicating matters further, the vice principal is scheming against her, and Shin Sawada, the leader of her most troublesome class, begins to suspect that there is more to her than meets the eye. Kumiko's journey as a teacher will be far from easy.
