Upon finishing university, Kumiko "Yankumi" Yamaguchi lands a job teaching math at a high school for boys only. She becomes the homeroom teacher for the famously difficult Class 3-D, and the students try to ruin her teaching career. Her stubbornness and forceful approach slowly win their respect. The school does not know that Yankumi is also the successor to the influential Kuroda Ikka yakuza clan in Tokyo.
