Synopsis

In Academy City, a hub of advanced science and technology, espers with extraordinary powers that defy natural laws have emerged. Among these espers, the Level 5s stand out, with Accelerator being the strongest—even after sustaining a critical brain injury. Despite his aloof demeanor, Accelerator is fiercely protective of Last Order, a young girl he closely guards. As Accelerator works on recovering from his injury, the city’s darker elements continue to stir, pulling him into a new conflict against his will. A secretive young woman seeking Last Order draws Accelerator into a confrontation with a covert, poisonous organization that has penetrated Anti-Skill, Academy City’s law enforcement unit. With various perilous groups threatening Last Order and her siblings, the self-styled villain prepares once again to confront the shadows.
