Summary
Despite being somewhat more serious than Naru, Yakumaru retains the same childish nature as her Scavenger comrades. She performs her duties of killing and destruction without remorse, eliminating anyone who obstructs her path. She harbors a deep hatred for teachers, viewing them as the root of evil in Academy City. Having worked alongside Leader for a long time, she is perceptive enough to anticipate his plans, even deducing his intentions after observing Misaka Mikoto defeat Seike without explicit instruction. As an esper, Yakumaru manipulates specific gravity to separate liquids, allowing her to create various phenomena by mixing the separated substances. In combat, she utilizes chemicals stored in her utility belt, including a special coolant she developed herself, which is an improved version of the coolant used by Academy City. This coolant can rapidly freeze enemies, causing death when their heart and brain freeze over. She can also trigger a liquid thermite reaction by mixing chemicals within baseball-like spheres carried in her belt. These spheres can be thrown as projectiles, generating heat that reaches 4000 degrees.
