Synopsis

In Universal Century 0079, the Earth Federation and the Principality of Zeon remain locked in the brutal One Year War. Zeon's ace pilot Char Aznable once infiltrated an enemy base, seized the prototype Gundam, and secured a major victory for his side before vanishing without a trace during a mysterious incident involving the mobile suit. Six years later, tensions still simmer. Amate "Machu" Yuzuriha, a young girl living with her mother in a space colony, longs to escape her mundane routine and the pressures of cram school. Her desire for adventure intensifies when the Gundam QuuuuuuX, a cutting-edge machine deployed by Zeon soldiers, crashes near her home. Machu discovers she possesses a natural talent for piloting the mecha and uses it to fight Federation forces, receiving crucial support from Shuuji Itou, who flies a Gundam resembling Char's lost red unit. Unbeknownst to her, Machu's actions draw the interest of mobile suit duel enthusiasts who treat combat as a sport. Seeking friendship and excitement, she teams up with Shuuji to take part in thrilling clan battles, even as hints of a larger, looming conflict begin to emerge.
