Summary

Kycilia Zabi is the sole daughter of Degwin Sodo Zabi. While Yoshiyuki Tomino's novelization of Mobile Suit Gundam positions her as the fourth child and youngest sibling except for Garma, Yoshikazu Yasuhiko’s ongoing manga series, Gundam: The Origin, depicts her as the third child, placing her seniority above her brother Dozle. During the One Year War, Kycilia rapidly adapted to evolving technology and demonstrated equal skill in gathering intelligence to undermine the Earth Federation. As the commander of the Principality of Zeon’s mobile suit forces, she oversaw their deployment against the Federation and established several elite units. These included Char Aznable’s 300th Independent Corps, also known as Char's Newtype Corps, the hand-picked Chimera Corps, and the covert operations team Midnight Fenrir. Her characterization remains ambiguous throughout the main series and various side stories, with her true motives often left open to interpretation. She is portrayed as fiercely loyal to the people of Zeon and the men under her command. Conversely, her actions can also be viewed as those of a charismatic but utterly merciless manipulator orchestrating a military coup.
