Synopsis

Hikari Hanazono has consistently placed second to Kei Takishima. When they were six years old, their fathers, both passionate about pro-wrestling, introduced them. Believing herself unbeatable at wrestling, young Hikari challenged Kei to a match, only to lose decisively. From that day on, Hikari vowed to surpass Kei in academics, sports, and everything else. To achieve this, she has attended the same school as him since elementary. Now she is a student at Hakusenkan, an extremely prestigious institution that puts a heavy financial strain on her carpenter father. Hikari and Kei are the school's top two students, with Kei firmly holding the number one spot. While Hikari views Kei as both a rival and an important friend, she remains completely oblivious to his romantic feelings for her. The narrative centers on Hikari's relentless efforts to finally defeat her sole rival, Kei, and how love unexpectedly blossoms amid their ongoing competition.
