Hanazono, Atsushi
Summary
Atsushi serves as the older brother to Hikari and is characterized by his composed demeanor, which allows him to provide her with candid and honest feedback. Currently a high school junior attending a regular secondary school, he stands in stark contrast to his sister through his aversion to conflict. He has abstained from physical altercations and raising his voice since childhood, a restraint rooted in a traumatic childhood incident. When they were very young, Hikari witnessed Atsushi violently beating a boy who had struck her; his terrifying expression during the assault was so frightening that it caused her to faint. Despite his generally peaceful nature, this demeanor shifts dramatically when he perceives his sister to be in danger, prompting him to act without hesitation to physically harm those who threaten her. The intensity of his rage remains potent enough to still terrify Hikari to this day.
