Summary
After the S.A. faces punishment from the school director due to Tadashi’s deception, they are transferred to a regular high school. There, Akira encounters Yui, a girl who strongly resembles her childhood friend, Sayo. Although Akira is initially wary and attempts to avoid Yui, she eventually apologizes and the two become friends. Worried that Yahiro might disrupt this new bond, Akira takes drastic measures to protect Yui, which causes the latter to feel uncomfortable around her peers. When Yahiro investigates Yui for Akira’s benefit, he uncovers that Yui had stolen some of Akira’s jewelry. Yahiro threatens to keep her away from Akira unless she stops, a demand Yui reluctantly accepts because her family’s financial troubles are forcing them to relocate. Feeling she needs to bid Akira a proper farewell, Yui nearly gets struck by a car while attempting to say goodbye. Yahiro rescues her, and the pair ends up at his home, where Akira discovers them. Misunderstanding the situation and believing Yahiro has harmed Yui, Akira is relieved when Yui clarifies that she was saved and apologizes for the theft. Grateful that their friendship remains intact, Akira assists Yui’s family with their financial struggles, and the two maintain their contact.
