Synopsis

In the year 2020, technology has become deeply woven into daily life, with all digital devices around the globe linked through a single network. Unbeknownst to humans, this network is home to creatures called Digimon. Taichi Yagami, a fifth-grader getting ready for summer camp, notices strange events in Tokyo, such as electronic systems malfunctioning. When he finds his mother and sister trapped on a runaway train, he rushes to the station and is suddenly transported to another world. In this new place, he meets Agumon, a being who mysteriously knows his name, and is given a Digivice that connects him to the digital realm. Taichi realizes he is in the Network, where virus-like Digimon are attacking the infrastructure supporting Tokyo's electronics. Together, Taichi and Agumon must stop these cyberattacks to protect the world from the dangerous Digimon.
