Summary

Izumi Koushirou is a brilliant computer expert who spends his free time researching on a laptop featuring a distinctive pineapple symbol. Curious and analytical, he constantly formulates theories to understand the world, though he begins as an introvert who struggles to connect with others or grasp their emotions. He values logic over impulsiveness and becomes frustrated when people act without thinking. Although he once played soccer with Taichi and Sora, he joined the team primarily to avoid social interaction, as he lacked skill in the sport. He serves as the partner of Tentomon and holds the Crest of Knowledge. His biological father was a university lecturer and mathematician, while his biological parents died in a car crash when he was an infant. He was later adopted by Izumi Masami and Yoshie, relatives who had recently lost their own child. Although learning the truth devastated him, Koushirou eventually came to accept his identity as a true member of the Izumi family.
