Synopsis
Black Jack is a doctor who practices without a license, his background shrouded in mystery. Alongside his youthful assistant Pinoko—who harbors a deep affection for him—he handles rare and often strange medical conditions that can be dangerous or entirely unfamiliar. Despite this, he is a brilliant physician capable of saving nearly any patient, provided they can meet his hefty fees. His reputation extends across the globe, particularly among medical and scientific circles. A rational man devoted to empirical evidence, Black Jack remains skeptical until confronted with proof, yet he finds himself repeatedly amazed when emotion and the natural world prove more powerful than the science he has built his life upon.
