Synopsis

Continues the story of Saki Episode of Side A

At the Achiga Girls' Academy in Nara, the school's mahjong club once managed to defeat the powerful Bansei High School, advancing all the way to the national team semifinals before ultimately losing to the tournament champions. That loss caused the mahjong club to be dissolved. Six years later, elementary school student Shizuno Takakamo becomes close friends with transfer student Nodoka Haramura. The two later enroll at Achiga Girls', but Nodoka transfers to another school during their second year. The following year, Shizuno sees Nodoka on television as the reigning national middle school individual mahjong champion, which inspires her to bring the mahjong club back at Achiga.

The semifinals of the Inter-High Mahjong Championship are in progress. Having witnessed the exceptional abilities of Shiraitodai High School's leading player, Teru Miyanaga, the Achiga High School team is profoundly affected. Even with the tough circumstances, they understand that there remains significant opportunity for tactical planning and recovery, as the contest has yet to reach its conclusion.
