Caught in the unpredictable turmoil of Hellsalem's Lot, Leonardo "Leo" Watch acquires The Eyes of God, a supernatural ability that grants him extraordinary vision while costing his sister her eyesight. Determined to understand his new power, Leo stays in the city and seeks out Libra for answers. Recognizing the potential of his abilities, Libra offers him assistance in exchange for joining their unique team. As a newly recruited member, Leo collaborates with the formidable yet compassionate leader Klaus von Reinherz and the diverse members of Libra on critical, high-risk missions to ensure the safety of the perpetually restless city.

Background

Kekkai Sensen's pilot serialization ran in Jump SQ from the February 2009 to April 2009 issues under the title Kekkai Sensen: Mafuugai Kessha (血界戦線 ―魔封街結社―), which was later collected in the first volume. The official serialization started the next year in Jump SQ.19 Vol.1 (2010/5), and continued until Vol.18, when the magazine was discontinued. The manga's second season, Kekkai Sensen: Back 2 Back, started the same year in the new quarterly magazine Jump SQ.Crown. The series was published in English as Blood Blockade Battlefront by Dark Horse Manga from September 14, 2011, to August 7, 2018, and as omnibus volumes since September 2, 2025. It was also released in Brazilian Portuguese by Editora JBC from March 15, 2016, to August 16, 2017.
