Kimetsu no Yaiba
Tanjirou Kamado lives in a remote mountain village with his family, who are struggling financially. After his father's death, he takes on the role of providing for the household. One cold winter evening, Tanjirou goes to a nearby town to sell charcoal. As night falls, he stays overnight at the home of a strange man who warns him about dangerous creatures that appear after dark: malevolent demons that feed on human flesh. Returning home late, Tanjirou discovers a horrifying scene. His family has been brutally murdered, except for his sister Nezuko, who has become a demon that consumes people. Overcome with grief and anger, Tanjirou vows to protect others from Nezuko while seeking revenge for his family and finding a way to restore his beloved sister to human form.

Kimetsu no Yaiba ranked sixth and 17th in the 2020 and 2021 Kono Manga ga Sugoi! for the Male Readers division, respectively. Following the series' success, Koyoharu Gotouge was awarded the Special Prize at the 25th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize in 2021. As of July 2025, over 220 million copies of the series have been sold worldwide. As a part of the JUMP START initiative, the first three chapters of Kimetsu no Yaiba were published in English in VIZ Media's digital Weekly Shonen Jump on the same day as the Japanese release. VIZ Media published the volumes as Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba under its Shonen Jump imprint from July 3, 2018, to August 3, 2021.
