Continues the story of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba
Ever since his father passed away, Tanjirou Kamado has shouldered the responsibility of supporting his family while living in poverty on a remote mountain. Despite their difficult circumstances, the Kamado household maintains a generally peaceful and happy life. One day, Tanjirou travels to a nearby village to sell charcoal and earn money. As night falls during his return trip, he finds shelter at the home of an odd stranger, who warns him about flesh-eating demons that roam the forest after sunset. The following morning, upon returning home, Tanjirou encounters a horrific scene: his entire family has been brutally slaughtered. The only survivor is his sister Nezuko, who has been transformed into a blood-thirsty demon. Driven by rage and grief, Tanjirou vows to avenge his family and protect his remaining kin. Joining forces with the mysterious Demon Slayer Corps, he is resolved to eradicate demons and preserve what little of his beloved sister's humanity remains.
In this installment
The Demon Slayer Corps investigates a series of unexplained disappearances connected to a specific train, sending their elite Flame Hashira, Kyoujurou Rengoku, to confront the suspected demon. Before boarding the Mugen Train, the group encounters a lesser demon attacking the staff and targeting an old woman and her granddaughter, a threat Rengoku eliminates first. Tanjirou Kamado, Inosuke Hashibira, and Zenitsu Agatsuma then join Rengoku to face the main adversary. Once aboard the train, they confront a formidable opponent who intends to exploit the passengers' deepest fears. By delving into their psyches, the demon aims to demonstrate the Twelve Kizuki's capabilities through a horrifying assault on everyone on board.
