Every installment adapts a classic Japanese folktale, with Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Bowser, and the Koopalings taking on the roles of the story's characters. The three tales featured are Momotaro, Issunboshi, and Snow White.

Strongly inspired by the 1984 film The Terminator, this story centers on Sandy Newman as she commands a group of fighters trying to take back Earth from the machines. If they can get to a set of nuclear missiles that were never launched, they can destroy the machines' base located in Australia.
