Ryo Saeba operates as a private detective by day and takes on the role of a sweeper to fight crime in the city during other hours. Though highly skilled, he is prone to being distracted by beautiful women. His partner, Kaori Makimura, frequently finds herself shielding their female clients from Ryo's unwanted advances.

Ryou Saeba and his long-suffering partner Kaori are dedicated to keeping the streets of Shinjuku safe for the weak, the poor, and the downtrodden—though, in truth, Ryou is only hoping for a bit of "mokkori" from a grateful client. Meanwhile, Kaori is just hoping her 100-ton hammer is hefty enough to shift Ryou's focus from the ladies to his actual duties. Surrounded by a bevy of beautiful women and a host of dastardly villains, City Hunter is always prepared for any kind of action!
