During the upheaval of the Jinshin-no-Ran civil war in 762, a child was born with a small horn protruding from his forehead. His mother denounced him as an oni and abandoned him. An elderly female shūgenja took the child in and named him Utsunomiko, meaning 'Divine Child of the Heavens,' explaining that his horn represents the union of heaven and earth. After an incident where he loses control and causes widespread destruction, Son-Gokuu is sealed beneath Mt. Gogyo by Buddha. Years later, he is set free by Sanzohoshi and accompanies him on a journey to India, encountering many dangerous creatures along the way.

In this hard-hitting Shonen Magazine manga by Masahide Hashimoto, leather-clad, hair-sprayed biker youths known for their incredible toughness engage in fierce street fights. The story is filled with roaring engines and revenge-fueled lines like "you took out my buddy, so you're next." The main character is so tough that they have changed schools twenty times. That kind of grit can only be found in a truly Japanese delinquent.
