Continues the story of Magi: Adventure of Sinbad
In the destitute village of Tison, located within the Parthevia Empire, Sinbad is born to Badr, an ex-soldier, and his kind-hearted wife, Esra. His birth sends a radiant pulse through the rukh, signaling to powerful sorcerers the arrival of the "Child of Destiny." Although the nation suffers from economic hardship and the scars of past wars, Sinbad enjoys a joyful existence until an unforeseen visitor shatters his peace and brings about tragedy. Years pass before mysterious structures known as dungeons appear worldwide, rumored to hold immense power and wealth. While these dungeons draw in armies and adventurers, none ever return. Now fourteen, Sinbad has grown into a charismatic and talented young man. Driven by the trauma of his past and his father's teachings, he longs to leave his village. Following the path of destiny, he meets the enigmatic wanderer Yunan. Moved by Sinbad's tale and ambitions, Yunan guides him to a dungeon said to contain the "power of a king." Magi: Sinbad no Bouken chronicles Sinbad's early journey as he travels across the globe, honing his skills and influence while gathering allies and strength, all with the ultimate aim of becoming the High King of the Seven Seas.

In the realm of Magi, sorcerers known as Magi possess vast magical abilities capable of reshaping reality. These figures choose worthy candidates to become rulers, assisting them in conquering mystical structures called Dungeons to capture legendary djinns and claim their powers. The ultimate goal is for the Magi to guide these leaders in establishing kingdoms with the potential to rule the world. Aladdin, a young Magi on a quest to discover his true identity, journeys across diverse lands accompanied by Ugo, a djinn summoned via his flute who serves as both companion and mentor. During his travels, Aladdin encounters Alibaba Saluja and leads him to a nearby Dungeon. As their bond strengthens, the two set out on an epic adventure around the globe, facing a growing number of peculiar occurrences.

Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic was the first Shounen Sunday manga adaptation in 45 years to be aired by Mainichi Broadcasting since Osomatsu-kun ended its broadcast in 1967.
