Summary
Uraltugo Noi Nueph, commonly known as Ugo, is a 53-year-old Djinn and the guardian of the Sacred Palace. Initially believed to be Aladdin’s Djinn, he is actually bound to King Solomon and serves as one of Solomon’s Three Wise Magi alongside Arba and Sheba. As a former Magi from Alma Torran, Ugo wields one of the 72 Divine Staves and possesses immense magical intellect. His close bond with Aladdin is profound; Aladdin named the Magic "Ugo" in his honor, and Ugo refers to Aladdin as "Emperor," vowing to protect him at all costs. This devotion triggered a rampage against Judar when Aladdin was injured, leading to Judar’s defeat. Ugo’s personality is marked by high intelligence and a passion for magical theories and mathematics, earning him the nickname "Science/Magic Otaku" from former peers Falan and Ithnan. His intense focus on academics made him seem cowardly during Alma Torran raids and rendered him socially awkward, particularly with women. He is shy around them and faints upon physical contact, a trait attributed to his lifelong inability to find a girlfriend due to his obsessive discussions on theory. Despite these quirks and his past neutrality during the conflict between Sheba and the Magicians, Ugo remains upbeat and dedicated to Solomon’s cause. Historically, Ugo participated in Solomon’s resistance against the orthodox government before becoming a Wise Magi. He remained neutral during the strife between Sheba and the other Magicians, but after Arba formed Al-Thamen and killed Sheba, the ensuing war led Solomon to seal Al-Thamen away. Before her soul returned to Rukh, Sheba entrusted her unborn child, Aladdin, to Ugo. Following Solomon’s final command to create a new world, Ugo established the Magi system and bound Djinns to metal vessels. He transformed himself into a Djinn to guard the Sacred Palace and oversee the reincarnation of Magi. A millennium later, after Al-Thamen’s resurrection and Judar’s recruitment, Ugo used Sheba’s Rukh to develop Aladdin from a fetus to a child. He spent years with Aladdin in the Room of Fortitude, teaching him and befriending him through a wish, before departing with Aladdin, sacrificing his own head in the process.
