Judar

Summary

Judar is one of the four Magi of the current era and a magician who specializes in Ice Magic. Serving as the Oracle for both Al-Thamen and the Kou Empire, he wields immense power despite his physically frail constitution. His personality is defined by cruelty, arrogance, and a childish nature, often disregarding advice or orders to act on his own whims. He displays blatant disrespect, even toward his fellow Magi, and enjoys mocking others, such as goading Sinbad into pity before laughing at him. This performative behavior masks deep-seated resentment toward Al-Thamen and Gyokuen Ren, who exploited his life for their own ends since infancy, raising questions about why they could not have chosen Scheherazade or Yunan instead. Born in a poor village in the far east plain, Judar was chosen by the Rukh, but his parents and villagers were immediately slain by Al-Thamen upon his birth. Taken in by the organization, he was raised and trained in magic from infancy, eventually becoming the Kou Empire’s High Priest and Oracle shortly after its founding. As a Blue Magician, his ice abilities are a sub-type of Water Magic. While his status as a Magi grants him an almost limitless supply of Magoi, his physical strength is extremely low, making him entirely dependent on others for protection. His name is derived from the hero of The Tale of Judar and His Brethren from One Thousand and One Nights.
