Continues the story of Captain Tsubasa J
The initial 33 episodes recap the earlier series. Subsequently, new episodes introduce a character named Shingo Aoi, who plays in Italy. Following that, the World Cup commences, featuring unusual new nations such as Sweden, Thailand, and Uzbekistan. Regrettably, the anime concludes partway through the World Cup, after the match between Japan and Uzbekistan.

Tsubasa has risen to superstar status as a soccer player in Brazil and now intends to compete in Europe. During a crucial match that his team must win, with fans cheering him on, Tsubasa reflects on the early days when his soccer journey began. His drive to score goals and secure victory remains as fierce as it was in his childhood. He revisits the games and moments that profoundly shaped his life. He recalls goalkeeper Wakabayashi, the gifted striker Hyuga, the gentle-hearted Misaki, and Coach Roberto. He feels grateful for meeting them, enjoyed playing alongside them, and gained valuable lessons from each. The whistle blows, the match starts, and Tsubasa charges toward the ball.
