Nodame Cantabile
のだめカンタービレ
Synopsis
Shinichi Chiaki is an elite musician who aspires to perform among the best in Europe. Born into a prestigious family, he is a notorious perfectionist, holding himself and others to impossibly high standards. The only thing preventing Chiaki from pursuing his European dream is his crippling fear of flying, which keeps him stuck in Japan. In his fourth year at Japan's top music university, Chiaki crosses paths with Noda Megumi, who insists on being called Nodame. At first glance, she appears to be a disorganized girl lacking any clear ambition. But when Chiaki hears Nodame play the piano for the first time, he is stunned by the unique quality of her music. To Chiaki’s dismay, Nodame moves into the apartment next door, and he soon discovers that she has fallen deeply in love with him. Nodame Cantabile follows Chiaki and Nodame as they navigate their relationship with each other, learning valuable lessons from one another while striving for the pinnacle of the music world.
