Kuroki, Yasunori
Summary
Born on November 13, Yasunori Kuroki is a gifted oboist who instantly falls for Nodame, remaining blissfully unaware of her eccentricities. He serves as the soloist for the R☆S orchestra’s debut performance. Due to his reserved and stoic demeanor, his orchestra peers often liken him to a samurai. Although he is initially devastated and distracted upon discovering Nodame’s true personality, he eventually forms a strong friendship with both her and Chiaki, leading the three to study abroad in France together. In France, Kuroki struggles significantly with the language and cultural differences, which isolates him and hinders his ability to socialize. His gloomy and quiet nature leads Tanya to mock him with the nickname Glauque, a term implying a dark, depressing, or greenish hue, though their relationship eventually improves. Kuroki ultimately joins the Roux-Marlet Orchestra, which is conducted by Chiaki.
