Summary
Ryuutarou Mine is a fourth-year violin student whose father runs the Chinese restaurant Uraken adjacent to the university. Often characterized as a prima donna, his playing style is viewed by himself as deeply personal, though others consider it sloppy. He views Chiaki as a rival for attention and actively competes with Chiaki's princely image. He appreciates Nodame for her free-spirited nature. Serving as the concertmaster of the S Orchestra under Chiaki’s direction, he also plays in the R☆S Orchestra. Mine suggested incorporating a rock element akin to Jimi Hendrix to enhance the performance, a notion Chiaki dismissed as looking foolish in a traditional orchestra. He is currently in a relationship with Kiyora Miki.
