Continues the story of Initial D Second Stage

Following a series of notable victories with his AE86, Takumi Fujiwara has risen to prominence in the world of street racing. His success on the slopes of Mount Akina has bolstered his self-assurance. However, this confidence faces a severe challenge from a new group known as Emperor, which exclusively utilizes the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, or Lan Evo—a vehicle preferred by many professional racers. The team’s leader, Kyouichi Sudou, holds Takumi in low regard, deeming him an inadequate driver due to his choice of an outdated car that doesn’t match the capabilities of a contemporary race car. Kyouichi’s highbrow attitude is further reflected in his insistence that only Lan Evo drivers join his team. Will Takumi be able to sustain his unblemished record against the technically advanced and skilled Emperor team, or will his winning streak finally falter?

After a crushing defeat by Team Emperor leader Kyoichi Sudou, Takumi Fujiwara's AE86 suffers engine trouble, making the skilled street racer doubt his own abilities. Now a recent high school graduate, Takumi receives an invitation from Ryousuke Takahashi, captain of the Akagi RedSuns, to join a professional street racing team. While this could be a perfect opportunity to improve his driving, Takumi hesitates. Can the aspiring racer rise to the professional level? With support from Ryousuke and the RedSuns, Takumi may overcome his doubts and misconceptions about street racing—but his first priority is settling the score with Kyoichi Sudou.
