Summary

Keisuke Takahashi serves as the second-in-command of the Red Suns, piloting a Competition Yellow Mica Mazda RX-7 Type R (FD3S). A talented driver ranked just behind his brother, Keisuke is notably hot-headed and fiercely competitive, harboring a strong dislike for four-wheel drive vehicles, overly dressed schoolgirls, gyaru, and defeat. His driving style is heavily influenced by his emotions; his performance tends to decline when he realizes victory is out of reach, yet he becomes relaxed and carefree when holding the lead. Prior to joining his brother in street racing, Keisuke was the leader of a Bosozoku gang. He entered the Red Suns alongside his brother and developed a rivalry with Takumi, typically competing in hillclimb events while Takumi specializes in downhill races. Although Keisuke lacks the analytical mindset of his older brother, Ryousuke, he is fascinated by Ryousuke’s ability to compute and analyze situations. Conversely, Ryousuke is impressed by Keisuke’s instinctive driving, which relies on feeling rather than calculation. While Ryousuke plans to retire from racing to become a doctor, Keisuke is fully dedicated to his career, aiming to become a professional racer. To achieve this goal, he must first defeat Takumi. Despite their friendly rapport, the two often debate who holds the title of ace, though Keisuke maintains a deep respect for Takumi. He once admitted that Takumi possessed stronger mental fortitude, citing Takumi’s ability to fall asleep rapidly before a major race as evidence that Takumi understood pressure better than he did.
