Synopsis

Continues the story of Genshiken 2

In "Genshiken 2," the Society for the Study of Modern Visual Culture, or Genshiken, is now led by the increasingly confident Sasahara. During the break, the otaku club experiences several changes, including the arrival of a new member, Ogiue, who openly criticizes otaku culture. Sasahara's plan to create a doujin circle and sell their fan-made works at the upcoming Comic Market starts to take shape, but the path is filled with unexpected obstacles, such as a growing interest in crossplay. At the same time, the club is buzzing with speculation about the developing relationship between Tanaka and Ohno.

In this installment

In the second semester, the current members of Genshiken aim to recruit new members. Three newcomers are attracted by Ogiue's BL artwork and join the club. Although she welcomes their presence, Ogiue frets that the club is becoming overly focused on yaoi and losing its original purpose.
