Continues the story of Genshiken OVA
The new academic year begins, and the Genshiken members must tackle the predictable task of recruiting fresh faces. The Society for the Study of Modern Visual Culture acquires an unexpected new member: Chika Ogiue, transferred to them from the Manga Club. With her blunt announcement, "I'm Ogiue and I hate otaku," it is evident that this year will be far from normal.
In this installment
In "Genshiken 2," the Society for the Study of Modern Visual Culture, or Genshiken, is now led by the increasingly confident Sasahara. During the break, the otaku club experiences several changes, including the arrival of a new member, Ogiue, who openly criticizes otaku culture. Sasahara's plan to create a doujin circle and sell their fan-made works at the upcoming Comic Market starts to take shape, but the path is filled with unexpected obstacles, such as a growing interest in crossplay. At the same time, the club is buzzing with speculation about the developing relationship between Tanaka and Ohno.
