For generations, monstrous entities known as "Kegare" have emerged from the alternate realm of Magano, wreaking havoc throughout Japan. The valiant individuals battling these threats are clandestine exorcists whose sole purpose is to eradicate the Kegare entirely. In modern times, Rokuro Enmadou, a 14-year-old prodigious and formidable exorcist, harbors a deep resentment towards his own kind due to a sorrowful event from his past, which led him to renounce his ambition of becoming the most powerful exorcist. Conversely, Benio Adashino, a stunningly gifted exorcist of the same age, embodies the aspirations of humanity. Despite their contrasting natures, Rokuro and Benio are destined to be the "Twin Star Exorcists," a duo foretold to bring forth the Miko—an exorcist capable of vanquishing the Kegare and cleansing the world of its impurities. Nevertheless, given their immaturity and youth, this unlikely pair will face countless hardships and trials.
