In Ironfist Chinmi, the narrative traces Chinmi, a youthful Chinese boy dedicated to mastering martial arts. His remarkable aptitude catches the attention of the esteemed kung-fu masters at the Dailin temple, who extend an invitation for him to train under their instruction. Through tireless effort and the knowledge passed down by his teachers, Chinmi swiftly rises to become one of the temple's most skilled disciples. When he readies himself to leave Dailin for a personal journey, he confronts numerous trials that test his abilities to their utmost. Along his travels, he meets people who deeply influence his course. Upon returning to Dailin with fresh resolve, Chinmi continues his training. Yet his talents are soon required once more as Mongol troops advance toward the temple.

Tekken Chinmi had twelve volumes published in English as Ironfist Chinmi by Bloomsbury Publishing, from July 14, 1995 to January 30, 1997. The volumes are not numbered, but subtitled Kung Fu Boy, Journey to Mount Shen, Victory for the Spirit, Leap of Faith, Attack of the Black Flame, Blind Fury, Pole Stars, Drunken Master, Breaking Glass, Boxing Clever, Whirlwind Fist and Cutting Edge.
