Miyazaki Hayao no Zassou Nooto
Finished

Manga contributions to various hobby magazines during the 1980s and early 90's. The series have been bundled in a book, published by Dainippon Kaiga in 1992, and was re-published by the same publisher in 1997. **Shirarezaru Kyojin no Mattei** (The Unknown Youngest Brother of the Giants) A king of a Vulcan country orders the construction of a huge airplane. **Koutetsu no Ikuji** (The Pride of Steel) A story about the Monitor and the Merrimack, two ironclad ships of the American Civil War. **Tahoutou no Deban** (Enter the Multigun Tower) A pig creates a huge tank and kidnaps a girl. He even said, "I want to make the tank go at full speed with 'Country Road' as BGM" (!) There was a plan to make it into an OAV, but the project never materialized. **Noufu no Me** (The Eyes of a Farmer) Based on Andre Malreaux's semi-autobiographical novel "L'Espoir", this is a story about a farmer who finds an enemy base during the Spanish Civil War. Instead of bombs, it dropped fliers to calling for peace. **Koushahoutou** (The Antiaircraft Guntower) A story about a huge antiaircraft guntower in Germany and the many Allied air force attempts to remove it. Q ship A story about a "Q Ship" during World War I. "Q Ship" was an English battleship which disguised itself as a civilian ship by putting sails on its radio mast to fight against German U-boats, who were fooled to take it as their easy target. **Anshoumaru Monogatari** (The story of Anshoumaru) A story about Anshoumaru, a Japanese make-shift aircraft carrier. **London Joukuu 1918 nen** (Over London, 1918) A story about the German air raid of London. **Saihin Zensen** (The Poorest Front) A story about a Japanese fishboat Kissyoumaru and her crew, who were commandeered by the Japanese Navy. **Hikoutei Jidai** (The Age of the Flying Boat) The manga "Porco Rosso" is based on. **Buta to Tora** (A pig and the Tiger) A story about Hans, a German mechanic and a Tiger tank.

Attacker You!
Finished

Attacker You! is the story of ambitious and energetic 13-year-old junior high schoolgirl You Hazuki (variously known as "Mila," "Jeanne" or "Juana" in Western dubbed versions of the anime), who moves to Tokyo from Osaka to live with her father Toshihiko, a cameraman recently returned from Peru, and attend school. You's mother is not in the picture, having left when You was very young. Also living with You and her father is her younger brother Sunny, who is very attached to his older sister and tends to follow her everywhere she goes, including to school and to her volleyball matches. You is also curious about Kyushi Tajima, the pretty blonde woman whom she sees covering volleyball games on television, and about why her father becomes very angry whenever You mentions her. You is passionate about volleyball and dreams of one day being a part of Japan's national women's volleyball team in the 1988 Seoul Olympics. She joins her school's girls' volleyball team and quickly becomes one of the top players, although her coach (who is also her homeroom teacher) is brutal and literally slaps his players around when they don't live up to his expectations. You begins a tumultuous friendship with former school volleyball champ and former arch-rival Nami Hayase (French name: "Peggy"), which comes to a head when the two girls join opposing professional teams. She also develops a crush on So Takiki, the captain of the Hikawa boys' volleyball team (known as "Shiro," "Serge" or "Sergio" in various Western versions), and puts as much effort into trying to win his heart as she does into her game.
