In "Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku," Gabimaru, a legendary emotionless ninja from Iwagakure Village, is sentenced to death after being betrayed by his own comrades. Weary from a life of violence and deception, he has accepted his fate. Yet, every attempt to execute him fails because deep down, Gabimaru harbors a hidden desire to survive—to reunite with his wife, the one person who softened his heart and caused his downfall as an assassin. Seeing this will to live, Asaemon the Decapitator, a skilled executioner, offers Gabimaru a deal. In exchange for joining a mission to a mysterious island south of Japan in search of the elixir of life, the Shogunate promises him a full pardon. The island, thought to be a paradise, conceals many dangers, and the team of condemned criminals sent to explore it may not be ready for what awaits them.

Jigokuraku ranked 16th in the 2019 Kono Manga ga Sugoi! for the Male Readers division. The series was simulpub digitally in English as Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku by VIZ Media. The volumes were published by VIZ Media under the VIZ Signature imprint from March 17, 2020, to March 15, 2022. It was also published in Polish by Japonica Polonica Fantastica from May 9, 2019, to June 23, 2022; and in Italian by J-POP from October 16, 2019, to November 24, 2021.
