In a lively classroom, 15-year-old Aia Udagawa’s mind wanders far from the lesson. As his classmates pick him to model for the Aoi Festival Artist Contest because of his past experience, Udagawa watches Jun Sumisaki, a tall and awkward girl embarrassed by her unique freckles and striking height. They are paired as model and stylist—but Udagawa laments his abandoned dream of becoming a makeup artist. Udagawa has long believed he lacks talent, while Sumisaki struggles to hold her head high and show off her stunning features. Still, Sumisaki suggests they switch roles: Udagawa will take full creative control, and she will confidently strut the runway as her mother once taught her. Influential figures from the glamor industry will be watching, but this might be the push Udagawa needs to return to the fashion and beauty world and conquer it alongside his favorite model.
