Runway de Waratte

Chiyuki Fujito dreams of becoming a model and walking the catwalk at Paris Fashion Week, but her petite stature prevents her from even qualifying for entry-level modeling jobs. Meanwhile, high school student Ikuto Tsumura is deeply passionate about fashion design and has chosen to skip higher education to start working right after graduation in order to support his family. When they meet, Chiyuki and Ikuto decide to face whatever obstacles come their way and work toward achieving their ambitions. They share the belief that a person’s past should not define their future. Guided by this common outlook, their separate journeys unfold, both ultimately leading toward the same goal: the prestigious runway of Paris Fashion Week.

Runway de Waratte was nominated for the 11th Manga Taisho Award in 2018 and placed sixth in the final ranking. It was also nominated for the 44th Kodansha Manga Award in the Shounen category in 2020.
