In Universal Century 0079, the space colony Side 3 declares itself independent as the Principality of Zeon and begins a war against the Earth Federation. A year into the conflict, both sides are locked in fierce combat over the Thunderbolt Sector, a region strewn with wreckage from destroyed colonies. Against this chaotic backdrop, two veteran Mobile Suit pilots rise to prominence: Daryl Lorenz, a precise sniper for Zeon, and Io Fleming, an elite pilot for the Federation. Their meeting sparks a rivalry destined to end only with one's defeat. The debris fields, illuminated by flashes of lightning, become the stage for their dramatic confrontation, where death alone claims victory.
